Job Description

Elemental Machines is searching for an impactful Head of Marketing Analytics to join our Marketing leadership team. 


This role will enable building an insights-driven decision-making capability to create or refine business, marketing and product strategies and processes through critical, strategic thinking, and insights driven approach. This role requires strong problem solving and analytical skills, superb intuition for business, excellent planning and prioritization habits, and the ability to articulate and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the business with passion. And ideally, with hands-on experience in the Life Sciences Space.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead VOC research, diligence, and engagements to uncover pain points of customer stakeholders
  • Lead ideation to mitigate and resolve Elemental Machine’s most pressing customer issues and Competitive environment
  • Translates complex data into comprehensive insights and analyses, providing practical, business-oriented, and actionable findings and recommendations
  • Partners closely with other key research leadership across the company, collaborating and providing guidance on appropriate measurement, reporting, and capabilities to successfully navigate through the disruptive changes in the industry
  • Analyze data and research to provide strategic insights to support sustained growth of the business
  • Scope new opportunities (e.g., adjacencies, geographical expansion) by performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Collaborate with Customer success Teams to Define and monitor KPI/NPS and report on Health of product effectiveness and assess levels of Brand loyalty over time
  • Support or lead executive-ready materials and work cross-functionally with business customers
  • Analyze sophisticated data sets to determine insights, themes, and narrative
  • Become a subject matter expert and critical thought partner to Company leadership
  • Maintain current knowledge of customer, product and marketing trends and competitive landscape
  • Build an insights team and organization as appropriate for the business
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 8 years’ experience in market research/insights/competitive analysis, strategic consulting, or other strategic roles, preferably in the Life Sciences space
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment. Start-up experience enabling high revenue growth preferred
  • Entrepreneurial, growth-minded, and agile enough to navigate through vagueness and drive clarity
  • Track record of thinking strategically and executing incrementally
  • A dynamic, open, dependable, creative, and collaborative approach to work
  • Analytical Thinking self-starter. Data-driven mentality and strong business judgment. Able to analyze the data and pull key insights.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence and motivate team members
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various projects based on the current business requirements and landscape.
  • Ability to flourish in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth environment and building / managing a team
  • Skilled at data collection and research methods including questionnaire / interview guide design, survey programming and analysis
  • Ability to translate complex business questions into efficient and focused data collection instruments
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee third-party vendors and conduct hands-on research
  • Experience leading multiple projects and programs with balancing analytical critical thinking with quick decision-making, change management, and timely execution
  • Ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading cross-functional and data driven projects. Experience creating presentations (decks, recommendations) and working closely with leadership
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • BA/BS with relevant experience or MBA preferred
