Elemental Machines is looking for a qualified Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer to help our applications development team in building Elemental Machines' suite of Lab Operations tools and services. Candidates must have a strong command of cloud architecture patterns and solid foundations in both front-end and back-end development. This role will be an essential contributing member of our Software E team, as we design solutions, refactor existing implementations and build new capabilities.
Contribute to the development of front-end applications, back-end APIs, and legacy application refactoring, as we refactor our technology stack and architecture
Maintain applications and various related subsystems including messaging, report generation and delivery and alerting
Facilitate the design and build of scalable services and data persistence strategies that support user facing applications
Contribute to best practices in code structure, reusable design patterns, testing, scalability, performance, monitoring, and stability.
Collaborate with product management and technical leadership to help refine product roadmaps, epics and stories
Work closely in a cross-functional team to estimate and deliver features in support of company priorities and goals
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, advanced degree preferred.
4+ years full stack software development experience
Knowledge of ReactJS and NodeJS; working knowledge of Ruby is a strong plus
Experience designing and developing microservices and event driven systems
Experience refactoring monolith and macro-services
Solid foundation in modern CI and quality practices
Familiarity with Kubernetes and the GCP ecosystem preferred
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
