Tim Golnik leads product and design across hardware and software to help laboratories operate more efficiently, reliably, and intelligently. With more than 20 years of experience building connected devices, medical devices, and software platforms, Tim brings a design-driven approach to solving complex product challenges. Before joining Elemental Machines, Tim held leadership roles at Amazon, Fossil Group, and Misfit Wearables. At Fossil Group, he led smartwatch product and design for a broad portfolio of global brands, helping shape one of the world’s largest Android Wear businesses. Prior to that, he was VP of Product and Design at Misfit, where he helped build category-defining wearables and software experiences as the company grew toward its acquisition by Fossil in 2015. Earlier in his career, Tim worked on medical devices, including the first FDA-cleared medical device connected to the iPhone. He studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design and is passionate about building thoughtful products, strong teams, and systems that unite beauty, utility, and technical rigor.
